About koinfo

What it is

A free chat community for foreigners living in South Korea. Channels by nationality and by region (17 provinces) each run in their own language, plus shared English and Korean channels.

Alongside them: tools for a Korean name, your name in Hangul, Korean age, public holidays, quizzes and a Korean life dictionary.

How public Q&A is made

Good questions and answers from the chat become public Q&A pages only when every author agrees. Phone numbers, emails, links and ID numbers are removed before publishing (official government and public-agency links are kept).

Answers are members’ experience, not legal advice. Before an important decision, check with HiKorea, the 1345 Immigration Contact Center or a professional.
