Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms set the conditions for using koinfo (koinfo.mvpit.dev, the “Service”) operated by MVPIT (business registration 207-39-11641, the “Operator”).

2. The Service

A free community for foreigners living in Korea: chat channels by nationality and region, public Q&A made from chat questions and answers whose authors agreed, in-app notices and web push. A short part of recent messages in open channels (60 characters with the nickname hidden, last 72 hours) may be shown as a preview on the home page. The Service is not a government service and does not provide visa agency or job placement.

3. Sign-up

You sign up with an email and a password (an invite code may be required at times). People under 14 cannot sign up.

You are responsible for your email (login ID) and password. If you forget your password, the Operator issues a reset code after checking.

4. Prohibited acts

Do not do anything listed as not allowed in the community rules. Brokering illegal work, forging documents, trading IDs, promoting scams or gambling, and hate based on nationality or race are prohibited by Korean law.

5. Message storage

For safety, chat messages are stored for 365 days from posting, even if you delete your account.

The Operator and channel moderators only look at messages that were reported or caught by the automatic filter, and the messages around them.

6. Reports and temporary measures

• (1) Anyone whose rights are harmed, or who sees a rule violation, can ask for removal with “Report” or by email.
• (2) If 3 or more people report a message, or a moderator or the Operator does, it is hidden at once as a temporary measure for up to 30 days, during which the Operator reviews it and restores or keeps it hidden.
• (3) The Operator tells the reporter and the writer the result through in-app notices.
• (4) The writer of a message hidden after reports may be unable to post until the review is done.

7. Public Q&A

Chat questions and answers become a public page, visible on search engines, only if each author agrees and a moderator approves. Phone numbers, emails, links and ID-number patterns are hidden automatically before publishing.

Authors can ask by email to unpublish at any time.

8. Rights to posts

You keep the copyright of what you post. You allow the Operator to use your posts as needed to show them in the Service and, if you agree, to publish them as public Q&A.

9. Restrictions and leaving

The Operator may pause posting or close accounts that break the rules.

You can delete your account any time under “Me”.

10. Limitation of liability

Information from other users (visa, work, health, legal) is for reference only and the Operator does not guarantee it. Unless caused by the Operator’s intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for losses from relying on it. The Service may change or stop.
